The China (Changsha) International Engineering Machinery Remanufacturing Equipment Export Innovation and Development Conference and Trading (Auction) Conference kicked off in Changsha, Hunan on May 12th. This conference was a significant event in the field of construction machinery remanufacturing, as it saw the release of China's first construction machinery second-hand equipment export standard by the Hunan Provincial Construction Machinery Second-hand Equipment Export Industry Alliance.
The newly released "Construction Machinery Second-hand Equipment Evaluation Standard" aims to standardize the process of evaluating second-hand construction machinery. The evaluation standards cover seven essential steps, including entrusted evaluation, equipment inspection, major accident identification, quality appraisal, value assessment, issuance of evaluation report, and alliance recognition. By providing a set of criteria, the evaluation standards ensure that exhibitors' equipment is evaluated and certified, providing guidance and reference prices for potential buyers.
The significance of construction machinery remanufacturing cannot be overstated, as it plays a crucial role in reducing resource and energy consumption, minimizing waste emissions, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction. Furthermore, it contributes to achieving the "double carbon" goal and stimulates economic growth, making it an essential direction for future development. According to statistics from the venue, the global second-hand construction machinery transaction scale reached US$295.31 billion in 2019 and is expected to surpass US$400 billion by 2025. In China alone, there are approximately 10 million sets of second-hand construction machinery equipment, with a market value of around 600 billion yuan.
Guo Xuehong, the current chairman of the Hunan Provincial Construction Machinery Second-hand Equipment Export Industry Alliance, emphasized the significance of the newly introduced evaluation standards. He stated that the standards address a crucial missing piece in the operation of the system within the second-hand equipment transaction link. Guo added that the introduction of evaluation standards will enhance the international competitiveness of Chinese construction machinery remanufacturing equipment export enterprises, positioning them as leaders in the global market.
The release of China's first construction machinery second-hand equipment export standard marks a significant milestone in the industry. It represents a step forward in streamlining the evaluation process and providing transparency and credibility to the second-hand construction machinery market. The implementation of these evaluation standards will not only benefit exporters and buyers but also contribute to the overall growth and development of the construction machinery remanufacturing sector. With the establishment of these standards, Chinese construction machinery remanufacturing equipment is poised to make a greater impact on the global stage, further solidifying China's position as a key player in the international construction machinery market.
